Hello and Welcome! I am Preethi Raghavendra Karpoor, a first-year Astronomy Graduate Student at University of California San Diego. I work on investigating Exoplanet demographics around low-mass stars using TESS data and developing Machine Learning methods for the same! I am a member of the Cool Stars Lab at UC San Diego and work under the supervision of Prof. Christopher Theissen, Assistant Professor in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics and Prof. Adam Burgasser, Professor of Physics.

I am Mechanical Engineer by education but an aspiring Astronomer by passion. Here you can find a glimpse of my journey so far and hopefully, exciting updates ahead!

My general research interests lie in Exoplanets, Data Analysis and Instrumentation but I do greatly enjoy working on almost any problem in Astronomy, irrespective of the domain. Given my Engineering background, I have worked on Astronomical Instrumentation and Machine Design but Machine Learning is my newfound fervour.
